Check out our little football player.
Every year at Halloween the neighbors bring out the fire pits, holiday goodies and rocking chairs. We all gather at the end of our drive ways to give out candy to the trick-or-treaters. This year was just a little different. This year, we got to walk around the neighborhood with our little football player. The whole family got into the Halloween Spirit, check out Tanner....I mean UNDERDOG!!!

Just last year, it seemed like all couples on our street were pregnant. The women sat around the fire pit not really needing the heat from the fire. We were all walking infernos naturally as a result of being pregnant. The men stood around telling stories of the crazy wives as a result of them being pregnant. This year is different in so many good ways. Kris and I got to act like kids again and dress up a little for Halloween. We were able to participate in the tradition of trick-or-treat for the first time in years. The women sat around the fire pit and talked about teething, feedings, bottles, poopy diapers, first steps and smiles from their babies. The men stood around with their little lion and football player babies proudly.

I look forward even more to next year, when Jonah will be walking. What will be conversation around the fire pit be next year?
Happy Halloween!!

ok, that football baby made me laugh :)
I can tell you exactly what the conversation around the fire pit will be next year....HOT!...don't touch that!
So true! "HOT!" and "get your booty back here little guy!" and "don't eat that candy, NO more sugar for you until you're 20!" Halloween with a two-year old was "interesting" this year, to say the least. Our little butterfly did not leave our hip, so scared of all costumes. And so wired from all the sugar. She vibrated my hip all night!
