Update on the house of sickness:
It has been a crazy three weeks. I was sick with a horrible throat infection. I got better and then Jonah had a double ear infection. After three shots of antibiotics, the ears were clear. No sooner the ears are clear, then he comes down with the stomach flu. He loves to share, so I got the bug and so did Kris. It has been never ending. Through all of the sickness, Jonah has remained in good spirits. He is such a happy even tempered baby. Through all of the sickness, Jonah continued to be a good sleeper. God bless Grandparents, they love every opportunity to come and visit us, even when there is sickness in the house. My parents came to visit this weekend and provided even more time to rest. Mom took the early morning bottle feeding so I could sleep in till 8:00 (wooohooo it was great). All of this helped all of us get the rest needed to heal.
What's new with Jonah:
Jonah is really really close to taking his first steps (unassisted). He loves to walk around the house while pushing anything and everything he can. He will push a kitchen chair across the house, his highchair, his toys, the toy basket, he will push anything. His favorite are cars and trucks. He will push these toys around the house while crawling for a good 10 minutes (note in baby time this is forever). He loves to look out the windows and seems a peace when outside. This verifies he is his daddy's son.
Taking advantage of the weather today, the family went for a walk in the neighborhood. The nice weather and longer days are drawing everyone out of their winter hibernation. Last summer there were a total of five baby boys born on my street alone. I can verify there was something in the water. We have kept in touch over the winter months. Now that the days are longer and the weather is nice, it is amazing to see all of the babies on the street. Everyone has grown up so much. I am looking forward to the summer of chilling in the back yard with the neighbors while the boys are crawling around in the grass playing. Jonah is going to have a lot of friends on the street to play with :)
Happy Spring!!
