Kris and I had to take Jonah to get his 2 month old shots yesterday. The pediatrician we had was awesome and the nurse was even more comforting. I think this is important for the baby and the parents to have people taking care of him that are comforting. Jonah was a brave little boy and I held it together pretty good too. After the shots were done we treated him to a dose of Tylenol and a bottle. After this treat it was off to dreamland for Jonah. The hardest part for me was when Jonah woke up from one of his naps and you could tell his legs hurt. We made sure to keep the legs moving yesterday, message them when we could and let him soak in a warm bath.

While at the doctor's office I mentioned that I had been giving Jonah gas medicine. The doctor began asking a lot of questions about why I would need to give him this medicine. I mentioned that he has zero tolerance for gas. During a bottle he will throw a fit, straighten his legs, scream in pain and forget how to drink out of a bottle. There are times where I wondered why all of a sudden he would just not take the bottle even though I knew he was hungry. All of these symptoms were a clear indication to the doctor that Jonah has GERD (Gastro Esophogeal Reflex Disorder). He prescribed a medication that is suppose to turn Jonah into a new baby during feeding time. I told the doctor that if it turns him into a new baby then I will become and new mommy. There were times when feeding Jonah was stressful. I am looking forward to more pleasant experiences during feeding time.
Happy Boy the day after shots.....all better
Happy Baby!!
